Year 9 Holiday Programs

Essential Courses

Our holiday courses are scheduled in line with public school holiday dates. There are 4 holiday programs per year and usually 5 lessons per week (Monday – Friday).

Our courses enable students to:

  • Develop all skills and knowledge to fulfil syllabus objectives and outcomes
  • Acquire an extensive range of problem-solving strategies and techniques to maximise exam results
  • Develop and foster self-discipline and efficient study habits
  • Turn hard work and efforts into visible rewards

Our course fees are inclusive of all learning materials. Each lesson includes an experienced educator teaching learning concepts and examples, students completing exercises and homework tasks to reinforce concepts.

We offer face-to-face learning option.

Maths Revision & Headstart on Key Topics

Get a headstart in Year 9 Maths by revising key Maths concepts and learning new Maths topics and skills. Our highly popular program ensures maximum skills development. A solid preparation for the new academic school year.

Creative Writing & Genre Writing Workshop

An important component of the Junior English syllabus, and one of the more challenging aspects of the Senior High English curriculum concentrates on the students’ ability to respond on a personal and imaginative level to a variety of creative tasks. This course is devised to develop both thinking and writing skills to enable students to express themselves with confidence in their own ideas, and with sufficient depth of feeling as to appeal to a reader’s imagination. This course is therefore designed around a series of linked exercises encouraging the development of both imagination and style.

Future Writer’s Workshops

The Future Writers Workshop series is under the guidance of teachers who will motivate students and develop their skills to become successful future writers.

Course Goals

Among the outcomes:

  • Master basic English skills such as spelling, grammar and punctuation
  • Develop creativity in composing effective, original imaginative writing
  • Explore advanced writing skills and techniques
  • Experience academic enrichment in a challenging but supportive environment alongside students of similar ages, under the guidance of experienced and enthusiastic teachers
