Message from Mr Andy Mak - National Principal

I am delighted to report that with the dedication of teachers, staff and management, North Shore Development Centre has had another great year.

Student Achievements

North Shore students excelled in many areas this year. Our students received the most Independent School Scholarships, with more than 220 students winning places in our country's most prestigious private schools.

We have consistently been receiving good news of North Shore students awarded places in Opportunity Classes and Selective High Schools.

Congratulations to our senior students of 2007 who feature on merit lists nationwide. Many of our students attained exceptional university entrance scores.

One of the many illustrious success stories include one of our year 12 students, Di Yu, who scored superb results in Extension 2 Maths when she was in Year 11 last year. She has been given provisional admission into one of the most prestigious University in England.

Public Recognition

Our Queensland operation was the winner in the 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 Business Achiever Awards, winning the prize in the category of "Tuition, Training & Children's Services". To acknowledge the achievement of winning for three consecutive years the company was admitted to the "Hall of Fame" In 2005.

It is my honour to receive the Distinguished Australian Chinese Award In 2001. Such recognitions are rewarding because they show our work is valued widely.

I am confident that with the combined effort of our experienced and motivated team of teachers, diligent and friendly staff and innovative and caring management team, North Shore will continue to achieve excellence in 2008 and beyond.

ANDY MAK
