QLD Holiday Program Resumes
Dear Parents and Guardians,
This morning the Queensland Premier announced that the lockdown of greater Brisbane will not continue beyond 6 pm tonight.
As a result, the North Shore holiday program will commence tomorrow Tuesday, 12 January 2021. The holiday program will run for the full five days and conclude on Saturday, 16 January 2021. If a student is unable to attend on Saturday, 16 January 2021, please telephone reception who will arrange for materials to be provided on Friday’s lesson. Due to the unprecedented circumstances of the Greater Brisbane lockdown, there will be no make-up lessons if students are unable to attend the fifth and last day of the holiday program on Saturday, 16 January 2021.
Furthermore, the Queensland government continues to mandate the wearing of masks. During the North Shore holiday program all students aged 12 years and above and adults must wear a mask when arriving and departing the North Shore campus as well as during class. The advice from the Chief Medical Officer is that masks are not required for students under 12 years of age, however North Shore strongly recommends that those students also wear a mask. North Shore also encourages parents and guardians to review the Queensland government website (https://www.qld.gov.au/health/conditions/health-alerts/coronavirus-covid-19/current-status/easing-greater-brisbane-restrictions) in relation to mask requirements.
To maintain social distancing requirements, we ask that parents and guardians refrain as much as possible from attending the reception area.
We look forward to welcoming students tomorrow and thank parents, guardians and students for their continued co-operation.
