We are proud to announce that North Shore Coaching College is an authorised Southeast Asian Mathematical Olympiad (SEAMO) Testing Centre. 
SEAMO will be held on the 2nd September 2023.

Registrations close at 11:55pm (AEDT) on 12 August 2023.

What is SEAMO?

This Mathematical Olympiad is a unique training and assessment platform developing and testing the highest levels of creative thinking and logical reasoning. SEAMO has helped more than 50,000 students across 20 countries develop critical thinking skills that are required to excel in school and in the workplace.

Originated in Singapore, SEAMO’s curriculum framework and testing methods falls in line with the Singaporean Ministry of Education’s 21st Century Core Competencies. SEAMO’s emphasis on critical thinking skills encourages students to make connections between different concepts and think out of the box in order to be successful in school and in the workplace. With this vision in mind, SEAMO has gained popularity among schools and parents to become the most highly acclaimed Maths Olympiad competition in the region.

The format of SEAMO will be a 1.5 hour exam except Paper K (40 minutes) which includes 25 questions in multiple choice and written response format. There are 7 papers for different year groups:

• Paper K – Kindergarten (40 minutes exam)
• Paper A – Lower Primary (Years 1-2)
• Paper B – Middle Primary (Years 3-4)
• Paper C – Upper Primary (Years 5-6)
• Paper D – Junior (Years 7-8)
• Paper E – Intermediate (Years 9-10)
• Paper F – Senior (Years 11-12)

All students will receive a digital certificate (accessed via the SEAMO Student Portal), and high achieving students will have an opportunity to represent Australia in SEAMO X.

SEAMO results can be accessed electronically via the SEAMO Student Portal. Parents and carers can view their existing account on the SEAMO Student Portal or create an account today to access your child’s results.

Terms & Conditions for sitting SEAMO

* Registration must be completed online, and is on a first-come-first-serve basis. Once a session has reached maximum capacity (i.e. Allocation Exhausted), it is at the College’s discretion whether additional sessions will be opened.

* All fees paid are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.

* Please complete separate bookings for each child you wish to enter; i.e. select desired tickets for Sibling 1, register, and complete payment, then come back to this page and repeat the process for Sibling 2, and so on.

* My child will NOT be sitting SEAMO at their school or another testing centre.

* I understand that my child’s SEAMO digital certificate will show the full name that I have provided.
