Adelaide Annual Presentation Newsletter

June 10th was a sunny day, its warm climate mirroring the success we celebrated at the second annual presentation of North Shore Coaching College Adelaide at Burnside Community Hall. All of our private school scholarship recipients and Glenunga ignite winners, together with our esteemed North Shore Young Achiever and High Achiever winners for 2017-2018 were invited for the ceremony in the company of their proud families. North Shore’s National Principal and founders, Mr. Andy Mak and Mrs Demi Mak, were there to present the ceremony and award the trophies to the students.
As the evening unfolded, all the students sat in their special and honourable seats during the ceremony, full of pride and happiness. The ten specially selected Year 7 student representatives expressed their heartfelt thankfulness to North Shore and shared stories about their extraordinary learning experiences. Some of the speeches were exciting, some of them were humorous -but all of them had this in common: they each told of how impressed the kids were with their education, serving as a fitting endorsement of the quality of the centre and its staff.
A North Shore student has many different qualities, With academic excellence being but one side of the equation; our student representatives have also achieved success, personal fulfilment and happiness in other areas of their lives including fishing, cooking, reading, piano, violin, flute, guitar, coding, chess, creating YouTube videos, camping, basketball, volleyball, tennis, swimming, dancing and cycling – to name but a few.
V Bak,who was our IB revision course student last year achieved IB 44 in 2018 and was duly accepted by the University of Adelaide to begin studying medicine. V also presented at the ceremony and shared his study experiences With the audience. His calm demeanour coupled with his fiery intelligence hasset an excellent example to all of our other students and serves as testimony as to Just how powerful and fulfilling a North Shore education can be.
