High School Success Stories!

Congratulations to our students of 2007 who continue to excel in public high school examinations, International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS) and other competitions to maintain our excellent record of achievement. Outstanding results once again reflect the hard work and dedication of both our students and teachers.

In New South Wales, many North Shore students featured in the Top All Rounder List for the Higher School Certificate (HSC) exams. Over four of our students scored a Universities Admissions Index (UAI) of 100 and a high proportion of our students achieved a UAI between 96 to 100. In addition, numerous North Shore students were listed in the All Rounder List. Many achieved their goal of scoring UAI 99 and above.

In Victoria, North Shore students reported outstanding achievement in Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) exams, and were accepted into their preferred courses at universities. Students achieved a commendable Equivalent National Tertiary Entrance Rank (ENTER).

In Queensland, 16 North Shore students achieved OP 1 and a large number of students achieved The Lord Florey Student Prize For 2007.

In Western Australia, many North Shore secondary students excelled in the Tertiary Entrance Examinations (TEE) in 2007. Many North Shore students achieved a Tertiary Entrance Rank (TER) of 99-plus, placing them in the top one per cent of TEE students. Of particular note is Vaughan Varun Hutchison, one of our outstanding students who achieved a perfect TER score of 99.95 and received prestigious General Exhibition awards.

What is the North Shore Secret of Success?

North Shore is continuously monitoring changes to each state's High School format and Syllabus. We undertake immediate and effective changes to our curriculum to not only reflect these changes to the High School assessments but to ensure that we at North Shore remain the most effective tuition college in Australia and New Zealand. Our students go on to distinguish themselves at Australia's most respected universities.
